How Parentline Works
Parentline is open between 8am and 10pm, 7 days a week.
You can call Parentline on 1300 30 1300 for the cost of a local call.
When you call Parentline your counsellor will:
- Listen carefully to your concerns or problems
- Work with you to provide support and guidance
- Help you to sort out important issues for you
- Help you develop strategies for managing those issues
Your counsellor may also offer to send you relevant Parentline tip sheets from a range of over 100 topics, or provides you options for gaining further parenting training.
Parentline also offers individually-paced parenting programs over the phone for parents or carers who are not able to attend a parenting group in person.
